About NuPARE

What is NuPARE?

A social shopping platform built around the wardrobe you already own. It brings together four things that are normally separate: finding pieces, buying them new from brands, keeping a record of what you already have, and returning pieces to circulation through resale or rental.

What makes it different from a shopping app?

A shopping app shows you pieces in isolation. NuPARE shows you a piece against the wardrobe you already own, so the question becomes whether you will wear it rather than whether you like it.

Why is the wardrobe central to it?

Because the wardrobe is what makes the rest useful. Most problems appear after a purchase: a piece duplicates something already owned, or suits nothing else in the wardrobe. A platform that holds the wardrobe can answer what a piece replaces, what it goes with, and what it will be worth later.

Has NuPARE launched?

Not yet. We are building towards a September 2026 launch and opening access in groups before then. The waitlist decides who comes in and when. Join it on the home page and we will email you the moment your place is ready.

What does it cost?

The platform is free to use. There is an optional paid membership with additional features. Fees apply when you buy, sell or rent, and every one of them is shown before you commit.

Which countries do you operate in?

Australia at launch. Some partner brands ship internationally, and the listing tells you before you buy.

Who operates NuPARE?

Nu Pare Pty Ltd (ACN 698 123 545, ABN 28 698 123 545), an Australian company trading as NuPARE, based in Western Australia. The contact page lists every route to us.

Is there a web version of the app?

No. nupare.com.au is the public site; the product is the mobile app. The wardrobe relies on your camera and on being with you when you get dressed.

Getting in

How do I join?

Join the waitlist on the home page. We open access in groups and we will email you the moment your place is ready. All we need is an email address, and there is nothing to pay.

Can I move up the waitlist?

Referring someone who joins moves you up. Nothing else does, and no one at NuPARE can move a place on request.

How will I know when I have access?

We will email the address on your waitlist entry, with a link that opens the app. Add us to your contacts so it is not filtered, and tell us if your address changes.

How old do I have to be?

16 to hold an account. 18 to sell, rent, receive a payout, hold a paid membership, or enter a contract with a brand through us. Members between 16 and 18 are not sent personalised advertising and start on the most protective settings available.

Do I need an invitation from a member?

No. The waitlist is open to anyone. A referral moves you up it but is not a condition of joining.

Can I join from outside Australia?

You can join the waitlist. We open access market by market and Australia is first, so it will be a while before we reach you.

Using the app

Which devices is the app on?

iPhone first, with Android to follow. There is no browser version. If you are on Android, join the waitlist and we'll let you know when it is ready.

Which iOS version do I need?

The app supports the iOS versions Apple still issues security updates for. Older versions are not supported.

The app is slow or will not open.

Close it fully and reopen it, then check the App Store for an update. If it continues, raise a ticket with your device model and app version, both of which are at the foot of Settings.

Why does the app ask for camera access?

To photograph pieces into your wardrobe. It is requested the first time you add a piece rather than at sign-up, and declining it leaves everything else working. You can add pieces by forwarding a receipt instead.

Does the app work offline?

Your wardrobe is readable offline. Anything that needs the platform, including listing, buying and messages, waits for a connection and completes when it returns.

How do I report a problem with the app?

Raise a ticket describing what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead, with your device model and app version. That is usually enough for us to reproduce it.

Is the app accessible?

It supports the system text size, VoiceOver and reduced motion. If something is unusable for you, tell us what and where. Accessibility problems are handled as defects rather than as feature requests.

Orders

Who am I buying from?

The brand. NuPARE presents the piece and takes the payment. The contract of sale is between you and the brand, and they hold the stock and despatch it. A pre-owned piece is sold to you by another member. Section 6 of our Terms of Use sets out who carries which responsibility.

My order has not been confirmed.

Confirmation arrives within a few minutes of payment. If it has not, check the address held on your account and your spam folder. An authorisation that was never captured clears from your statement on its own, usually within five business days. If you have been charged and hold no order, raise a ticket with the date and amount and we will trace it.

Where do I find my order number?

On the confirmation email and in Orders in the app. Quote it when you get in touch, because it identifies the order exactly.

Can I change or cancel an order?

Ask immediately and we will try. Once the brand or seller has despatched, the order cannot be stopped and becomes a return. Send the order number, not a description.

I ordered the wrong size.

Tell us straight away and we will try to stop it before despatch. If it has gone, the brand's return or exchange policy applies and is shown on the order. If the app recommended the size, say so, so we can correct it.

Something arrived damaged, wrong or incomplete.

Raise a ticket within 14 days with photographs of the piece and of the packaging as it arrived. Keep the packaging until the matter closes; a carrier claim rarely succeeds without it. This is a fault rather than a change of mind, so you do not pay return postage.

The price changed after I looked at it.

Brands set their own prices and can change them. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout when you confirm. Where an obviously incorrect price is published, we or the brand may cancel the order and refund in full.

Can I order something as a gift?

Yes. Choose the gift option at checkout and the price is left out of the parcel. The recipient does not need a NuPARE account to receive it, but will need one to arrange a return themselves.

Can I send a gift overseas?

Where the brand ships there. Duty and import tax are the recipient's responsibility unless collected at checkout, and a gift is not exempt from them.

Delivery

How long will delivery take?

Timeframes are quoted at checkout by whoever despatches the order. They are estimates given in good faith, not guarantees. A piece coming from overseas takes longer than one shipping domestically, and a made-to-order piece takes longer again.

How much is delivery?

Set by whoever is sending the piece and shown at checkout before you pay. Some brands pay it above a spend threshold. Delivery on a resale piece is set by the seller and shown on the listing.

Tracking has not moved.

Tracking often does not update for a day or two after despatch, and again while a parcel clears customs. If nothing has moved for five business days, raise a ticket with the tracking number. Carrier claim windows are short, so tell us while one is still open.

Tracking says delivered and the parcel is not here.

Check with others at the address and with immediate neighbours first. If it is genuinely missing, tell us within 14 days of the expected delivery date so an investigation can be opened.

Can I change the delivery address?

Before despatch, ask immediately and we will try. After despatch it is between you and the carrier, and most will redirect for a fee. We cannot redirect a parcel once it is with them.

Do you deliver outside Australia?

Where the brand does. Duty and import tax are set by the destination country and are not ours to waive. Where they are collected at checkout you will see them before you pay; where they are not, they will be requested on arrival.

Can I collect a piece in person?

No. Every order moves through a tracked carrier on both sides. The tracking record is what a dispute is decided on.

Is my parcel insured in transit?

Orders are sent with transit cover appropriate to their value, and a loss in transit is not yours to absorb. Tell us within 14 days of the expected delivery date so the claim can be made.

Returns and refunds

Can I return a piece?

A new piece is covered by the brand's return policy, which is shown before you buy. A pre-owned piece carries no change-of-mind return, because you are buying a specific piece from a person rather than stock from a shop. The inspection window is what protects you there.

How long do I have to return something?

The brand sets the window and it is shown on the order. It runs from delivery, not from purchase. A fault is separate: report it within 14 days of noticing, and consumer law covers it regardless of the return window.

Who pays return postage?

You do for a change of mind, unless the brand says otherwise. We do where the piece was faulty, not as described, or never arrived. If you are unsure which applies, raise a ticket before posting it.

When will a refund reach me?

Approved refunds return to the original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank then applies its own timing, which we cannot shorten. Delivery is refunded as well where the piece was faulty, not as described, or never arrived.

Can a refund go to a different card?

No. A refund returns to the method that paid. That is a card network rule, not our policy. If the card is closed, your bank will still route the funds to you.

Can I exchange for a different size?

Where the brand offers exchanges. Their policy is shown before you buy. Otherwise it is a return and a fresh order, which usually arrives sooner because it does not wait on the first piece travelling back.

What is the inspection window?

The period after delivery in which you may examine a resale piece before the seller is paid. If it is significantly not as described, is counterfeit, or has not arrived, open a dispute within that window. We hold the money until the matter is settled and release nothing while a dispute is open.

What are my consumer rights?

They are unaffected by anything we publish. Australian Consumer Law guarantees cannot be excluded by contract and apply to whoever supplied the goods, whether that is a brand, another member, or NuPARE. Section 16 of our Terms of Use states this in the form the law requires.

Buying pre-owned

How do I know a listing is accurate?

Read the condition grade and every photograph. Photographs must be of the actual piece rather than a stock image. Ask the seller anything you are unsure about before you buy. The inspection window then covers you if what arrives is significantly not what was described.

What do the condition grades mean?

They describe wear rather than age. A piece can be decades old and barely worn, or a season old and heavily used. The grade is the seller's assessment; the detail beneath it, including every flaw, alteration and repair, is where the specifics are.

Can I make an offer?

Where the seller has enabled it, and the listing says so. An accepted offer is binding.

Can I message the seller?

Yes, through the app. Keep the conversation there. A conversation that moves off-platform loses every protection described here.

What is the buyer fee for?

It covers holding the money until delivery is confirmed, running the dispute process, and the trust and safety work that keeps counterfeits and bad actors off the platform. It is shown separately at checkout rather than built into the price.

The piece is not as described.

Open a dispute in the app within the inspection window, with photographs of what arrived alongside the listing you bought from. We hold the funds, ask both sides for evidence, and decide on what we are shown, usually within 10 business days.

A piece has turned out to be counterfeit.

Report it within 30 days of discovery. We reverse the payment, remove the listing and close the seller's account. Selling a counterfeit ends an account on the first occasion, without a warning.

Can a sale be arranged off-platform?

No. It removes every protection described here for both parties and results in the closure of both accounts. If someone asks you to, report them.

Selling pre-owned

How do I list a piece?

List it from your wardrobe so the detail already held carries across. Photograph the actual piece, not a stock image, and record every flaw, alteration and repair. Accurate listings sell more reliably and hold up in a dispute.

How do I price something?

The app suggests a range from comparable listings and completed sales. Condition, completeness and season all move it. A piece with its box, tags or original receipt reliably sells for more.

What fee do you take on a sale?

The fee is shown before you list and again before you confirm, so your net is known before you commit. It covers payment processing, the escrow that protects the buyer, and the dispute process.

When am I paid?

Once delivery is confirmed and the inspection window closes, less the disclosed fee. Until then the buyer's payment is held on your behalf. It is your money, accounted for separately from ours.

How do I get paid?

To the account you verify with our payment provider. You are responsible for those details being correct. A payout sent to an incorrect account you supplied cannot be recalled.

How should I photograph a piece?

In daylight, against a plain background: front, back, the label, and any flaw close up. Photograph flaws deliberately. A disclosed flaw rarely becomes a dispute; an undisclosed one usually does.

What can I not sell?

Counterfeits, anything you do not own outright, and anything unlawful or unsafe to supply in Australia. That includes weapons, drugs, tobacco, alcohol, live animals, hazardous materials, therapeutic goods, and protected wildlife products including ivory and untraceable fur.

Is what I sell taxable?

Selling your own used clothing generally is not. Selling at a scale that amounts to carrying on a business is a separate question for you and the ATO. We withhold tax from payouts only where the law requires it, and we cannot advise on your position.

The buyer says it is not as described.

A dispute opens and both sides are asked for evidence. We hold the funds while it runs and decide on what we are shown, usually within 10 business days. An accurate listing with clear photographs is the strongest evidence you can have.

Authentication

How does authentication work?

Eligible pieces are examined by a specialist before they reach the buyer. It is an expert opinion formed on reasonable inspection at a point in time. It is not a warranty and it is not insurance.

Which pieces are authenticated?

Those above a value threshold, and those from brands that are widely counterfeited. The listing states whether a piece was authenticated.

Does authentication cost me anything?

Where it applies it forms part of the transaction. If a separate fee is charged it is shown before you commit.

What if an authenticated piece is later shown to be counterfeit?

Tell us within 30 days of discovery. We investigate, and where the failure is ours we make it right. This does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Can I have a piece authenticated on its own?

Not at present. Authentication runs inside a transaction rather than as a standalone service.

Rental

How does renting work?

You book a piece for a period, it is sent to you, you wear it, and you send it back. Cleaning between rentals is arranged for you. Title never passes; a rental is a hire and the piece remains the owner's throughout.

What am I responsible for while I hold a piece?

Returning it by the agreed date, in the condition you received it, allowing for fair wear. Loss, theft and damage beyond fair wear are your responsibility for the duration. Late, cleaning and damage charges are disclosed before you book.

What happens to the bond?

The bond is held, not charged, and released once the piece is returned in acceptable condition. Where it is forfeited it is applied to the loss it covers, and we tell you what that was. A bond is not a fee.

What counts as fair wear?

Fair wear is the marking that normal use leaves. A loose thread is fair wear. A burn, a tear, a permanent stain or a missing component is damage. If you are unsure, photograph it and tell us before returning the piece.

A rented piece arrived damaged, or arrived late.

Tell us before wearing it, with photographs, and do not return it without speaking to us first. Where a piece did not arrive in time for the date booked, you do not pay for it.

Do I have to clean it before returning it?

No. Cleaning is arranged between rentals by specialists who know the material. Do not attempt to clean or repair a piece yourself; it can turn a recoverable mark into a permanent one.

Can I rent out my own pieces?

Yes, if you own them outright and they are clean, safe and fit for the purpose described. You must disclose every defect and send the piece in time to arrive by the agreed start date.

Instant buy-back

What is instant buy-back?

We buy an eligible piece from you directly rather than listing it. You receive a price immediately instead of waiting for a buyer, and the piece becomes ours to resell.

How is the offer decided?

From comparable sales, the condition you declare, and how readily the piece sells. The offer is valid for the period stated and is conditional on the piece arriving as described.

Would I get more by listing it myself?

Usually yes. Buy-back trades some of the price for certainty and speed. Both routes are shown side by side before you choose.

What if the piece does not match what I declared?

We revise the offer or return the piece at our cost, and you choose which. If we cannot reach you within 30 days of a revised offer, the piece is returned to the address on your account.

What happens to a piece you buy?

It is ours to resell, repair, donate or recycle. Where we resell it, NuPARE is the seller and every consumer guarantee applies to us directly.

Wardrobe

Who can see my wardrobe?

No one. It is private by default. A piece becomes visible only when you publish it, list it, or add it to something you have shared. There is no setting that makes it public by accident.

How do I add pieces to my wardrobe?

Photograph a piece and the app fills in most of the detail. You can also forward a retailer's confirmation email to your wardrobe inbox, and anything bought through NuPARE files itself. Most members start with the pieces they wear most.

Do I have to add everything I own?

No. 30 pieces you wear regularly are more useful to the platform than 300 you do not. Add pieces as you go.

How does forwarding a receipt work?

Forward a retailer's confirmation to your wardrobe inbox and we read it to file the piece. That means processing the whole email, including the price paid, so do not forward one containing anything you would rather we did not hold. The source email is deleted after 30 days; the filed piece remains.

What happens to my photographs?

They remain yours. We read them to complete a piece's detail, compose outfits and estimate a resale value. We do not use them to train models on any third party's behalf and we do not license them to anyone. Section 6 of our Privacy Policy sets out the detail.

Is a resale value an offer?

No. It is an estimate drawn from comparable listings and completed sales. It is not an offer to buy, not a valuation for insurance or tax, and not a prediction of what a piece will achieve.

Can I export or delete my wardrobe?

Both. Export gives you your wardrobe, content and transaction history in a portable, machine-readable format. Deleting a piece removes it, and closing your account removes everything within 90 days.

What is a piece's passport?

The record of a single piece: what it is, when it entered your wardrobe, what it cost, how often you have worn it, and where it went afterwards. It follows the piece through resale.

Does it track how often I wear things?

Where you record it. Logging a wear takes a moment and is what lets the wardrobe answer questions about cost per wear and what you are not reaching for.

Fit and styling

How do outfit suggestions work?

From what you own, what you wear, what fits, and the preferences you have set. They are suggestions rather than instructions. Rejecting one teaches the platform as much as accepting it.

How does sizing work across brands?

Sizing varies between brands, so the app learns from what fits you rather than from the label. A recommendation is a guide, not a guarantee of fit. Where it is wrong, telling us improves it for you.

Can I turn off personalisation?

Yes, in your account settings. The platform continues to work and simply shows you a less relevant version of itself. Fraud and safety checks cannot be turned off, because they protect other members as well as you.

Can I plan what to wear in advance?

Yes. Outfits can be planned against a date, so a week can be decided at once and a trip can be packed from a plan.

Can I work with a stylist?

The stylist atelier connects you with a person. They see what you choose to share rather than your whole wardrobe, and their fee is shown before you book.

Why is it recommending something I already own?

Usually because that piece is missing from your wardrobe or filed incorrectly. Add or correct it and the suggestion stops. If it persists, raise a ticket; it is a defect.

Can I say what I never want to see?

Yes. Preferences include exclusions, and an excluded category stays excluded.

Care, repair and longevity

Does NuPARE offer repairs?

Care and repair connects you with a specialist, and where we contract them the work is arranged through us. The cost is quoted before any work begins.

Will a repair reduce what a piece is worth?

A visible repair can, and it must be disclosed if you later sell. A well-executed repair on a good piece usually costs less than the value it preserves.

How should I store pieces I am not wearing?

Clean, dry, out of direct light, and not compressed. Most damage to stored clothing is caused by moisture, sunlight and compression.

Do you offer alterations?

Through the same specialists as repairs. Tell us what you want changed and we will tell you whether it can be done well, including when the answer is that it cannot.

Can I record care instructions against a piece?

Yes, on the piece's passport, along with anything else worth keeping about it.

Circles and gatherings

What is a circle?

A group inside NuPARE built around a shared interest. Some are open, some are by invitation, and some are paid and run by their host.

How do I start a circle?

From the community tab once you have an account. State clearly what it is for; a specific purpose attracts the members it is meant for.

Who runs a paid circle?

The host, not NuPARE. We take the payment, retain a disclosed platform fee and pass the rest on. The host is responsible for delivering what they promised, and we will act if they do not.

What is a gathering?

An event, online or in person, run by a host or by NuPARE. A ticket is for the named holder and the stated event.

What happens if a gathering is cancelled?

You receive a full refund. If you cannot attend, the host's stated policy applies and it is shown before you book.

Can I transfer a ticket?

Where the host allows it. The whole ticket moves; it cannot be split between people. Selling a ticket above face value outside NuPARE breaches our terms.

Creators

How do I become a creator?

Apply from inside the app once you have an account. A separate creator agreement sets out commission, campaign obligations and payment terms. We look at what you make and who it reaches rather than at follower counts alone.

How is creator commission earned?

On attributed sales that complete and are not returned or reversed. Commission on a returned sale is recovered from your next payout.

Do I have to disclose paid posts?

Yes. A paid post must be identifiable as one under Australian Consumer Law and the AANA codes. Undisclosed paid content is removed and may end your participation.

What is Creator Pro?

A subscription with additional tooling for creators working at volume: deeper analytics, campaign management, and earlier access to briefs.

How do brand campaigns work?

A brand books through the marketplace, terms are agreed in writing, and the money is held until the work is delivered. Both sides know what was agreed and when payment is due.

When am I paid as a creator?

After the attribution window closes and any returns have settled, to the account you verify with our payment provider. Payout timing is set out in the creator agreement.

Membership

What is Insider?

The paid membership. It adds features on top of a platform that is free without it. The benefits are listed at the point you subscribe. If we materially reduce them we give at least 30 days' notice and you may cancel with a pro-rata refund.

Do I need a membership to use NuPARE?

No. The wardrobe, buying, selling, renting and the community are all free. Membership adds to that rather than unlocking it.

How do I cancel a membership?

In the app, at any time. Benefits continue to the end of the period already paid for. A membership taken through Apple or Google must be cancelled with them, as they take the payment and we cannot cancel a subscription we do not bill.

Does a membership renew automatically?

Yes, at the end of each period at the then-current price, until you cancel. We email you before an annual membership renews and before any price change takes effect.

Can I get a refund on a membership?

A monthly membership is not refunded for a partial month and an annual one is not refunded mid-term, except where consumer law requires it or where we have materially reduced what you paid for.

Is there a free trial?

Where one is offered it is one per person. Cancel before it ends or the first period is charged. We remind you before that happens.

What happens if a renewal payment fails?

We retry, and we may suspend the benefits until it succeeds. Your account and your wardrobe are unaffected.

Can I change between monthly and annual?

Yes. The change takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, so nothing is lost or charged twice.

Payments

What payment methods can I use?

Cards, and the wallets your device supports, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. The methods available to you are shown at checkout.

Are my card details safe?

We never receive them. Card details pass directly to Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on our systems. We hold a token, the card type, the last four digits and the result.

There is a charge I do not recognise.

Raise a ticket with the date, the amount and the last four digits before contacting your bank. We can usually identify it the same day. A chargeback raised first holds the funds for weeks and delays the outcome.

Which currency am I charged in?

Australian dollars, including GST where it applies, unless stated otherwise. If your card is in another currency, your bank sets the conversion rate and may add its own fee.

Why was my payment declined?

Almost always by your bank, not by us, and they do not tell us the reason. Check the card details and any limit, then try again or use another method. Your bank can authorise it directly.

Do you store my payment method?

Only as a token held by Stripe, and only if you asked us to save it. You can remove a saved method at any time in the app.

Do prices include GST?

Yes, where GST applies. Delivery, buyer fees and duty are shown separately before you pay.

Can I get a tax invoice?

Yes. It is on the order in the app and on the confirmation email. If you need one addressed to a business, raise a ticket with the entity name and ABN.

Account

I cannot sign in.

Use the reset link on the sign-in screen. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then raise a ticket from the address held on the account. We cannot move an account to a new address on request alone.

I believe someone else has access to my account.

Change your password, then raise a ticket and mark it urgent. Tell us as early as you can. We can act on anything that follows your report and cannot reverse what preceded it.

How do I change my email address?

In account settings, from the signed-in app. If you have lost access to the old address, raise a ticket and we will verify you another way before changing anything.

How do I delete my account?

In account settings. Closing it does not cancel an order already placed or release you from an obligation already incurred. Your information is removed within 90 days, except records we must keep by law, which section 18 of the Privacy Policy lists.

Can I have more than one account?

No. An account is personal to you. Multiple accounts are treated as an attempt to evade a restriction or influence a rating.

Can I stop marketing without closing my account?

Yes. Every marketing message includes a working unsubscribe, and using it does not affect your account or your ability to transact. Order confirmations, delivery updates and security alerts form part of the service and continue while the account is open.

How do I control notifications?

By category in the app, and entirely in your device settings. Service messages about an order or your security continue while the account is open.

What happens to my wardrobe if I stop using NuPARE?

It stays as it is until you delete it or close the account, and you can export it at any point.

Privacy and data

How do I get a copy of my data, or delete it?

Both are yours to request. Email hello@nupare.com.au with Privacy in the subject line. We acknowledge within 5 business days and resolve within 30. There is no charge for a request and none for a correction.

Do you sell my personal information?

No. We do not sell personal information and we do not disclose it for another organisation's marketing. Section 11 of the Privacy Policy lists every case in which we disclose anything.

Where is my data stored?

Primarily in Australia, in Amazon Web Services' Sydney region. Some service providers hold or access data overseas, and section 12 of the Privacy Policy explains the protections that apply.

Do you use my photographs to train AI?

Not for any third party, and we do not license them to anyone. Where a third-party model analyses an image we send only what that analysis requires, and we require the provider not to retain it for their own training.

How long do you keep my information?

Only as long as we need it, with a stated period for each kind. Account details are removed 90 days after closure, financial records are kept 7 years because the law requires it, and server logs are kept 12 months. Section 18 of the Privacy Policy lists all of them.

What cookies do you use?

Four categories: strictly necessary, functional, analytics and advertising. Analytics and advertising storage are denied by default until you choose otherwise.

What happens if there is a data breach?

We contain it, assess it within 30 days, and where it is likely to cause serious harm we notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Our notice will state what happened, what information was involved, what we have done, and what you should do.

Can I use NuPARE without giving my real name?

You can browse the public site anonymously. You cannot transact anonymously, because a parcel cannot be delivered to a pseudonym. Your public profile name does not have to be your legal name.

Safety and reporting

How do I report a member, a listing or a post?

Use the report control in the app. It reaches our moderation queue directly and is the fastest route. Where the app is unavailable, raise a ticket and select Report a concern. Describe what you saw and where it appeared so it can be located.

Someone is in immediate danger.

Contact emergency services on 000. We are not an emergency service and do not monitor inboxes around the clock. Tell us afterwards and we will act on our side.

How do I recognise a scam?

Anyone asking you to pay outside NuPARE, to continue the conversation on another app, or to send a piece before the platform tells you to, is running one. Every protection described here depends on the transaction staying on the platform.

What happens after I report something?

It reaches a moderator. We may remove content, hold funds, restrict features or close an account, and where it is practicable and lawful we tell the person why. We cannot always tell you the outcome, because it often concerns someone else's account.

I want to appeal a decision made on my account.

Raise a ticket within 30 days. A person not involved in the original decision reviews it and responds within 14 days, and we will tell you what the decision rested on.

Why was my content removed?

Because it breached the acceptable use rules in section 22 of our Terms of Use, or because we were required to remove it. We tell you which. If you believe we were wrong, appeal it.

I have found a security vulnerability.

Email hello@nupare.com.au with Security in the subject line. Do not use this form for it. Describe how to reproduce it, allow a reasonable period for a fix before publishing, and do not access, alter or delete anyone else's data while testing. Research conducted in good faith on those terms will not be met with legal action from us.

Someone is harassing me.

Report and block them, which stops contact immediately. If it continues by other means, or you feel unsafe, tell us and contact the police. We will preserve what we hold in case it is needed.

Circularity

Is NuPARE a sustainability platform?

NuPARE is a shopping platform with resale, rental and repair built in, so reusing a piece takes no more effort than replacing it.

How does this reduce waste?

By reducing purchases that were wrong at the outset, and by making resale, rental and repair take less effort than disposal. Most clothing waste is determined at the point of purchase.

What happens to a piece that cannot be resold?

Where we own it, we repair it, donate it, or send it to textile recycling rather than to landfill. Where you own it, the app shows which of those is available to you.

Do you make sustainability claims about brands?

Only claims a brand can evidence. Repeating an unverifiable claim would breach Australian Consumer Law as well as misleading members.

Do you offset delivery?

Where an offsetting or take-back programme applies it is stated on the order rather than implied. Reducing returns removes more emissions than offsetting them, so fit accuracy is treated as an environmental measure as well as a commercial one.

For brands

How does a brand join NuPARE?

Apply on the brands page. We are onboarding a small number of founding partners ahead of launch and every application is read. Tell us what you make and who wears it.

What does a brand pay?

Commission on sales made through the platform. The rate is set out in the partner agreement rather than published, because it varies by category and arrangement. There is no listing fee and no monthly minimum.

Who fulfils a brand's orders?

The brand. You set your prices, hold your stock and despatch your own orders. You can pause or withdraw at any time and your catalogue is removed with you.

How does a catalogue stay accurate?

Products, prices and availability synchronise automatically, so a piece that sells out elsewhere stops being offered here. Nothing is sold that cannot be sent.

What does a brand see?

Orders, despatch, payouts, catalogue health and performance, available whenever you look rather than summarised monthly. That includes which pieces members open and put back.

What happens when a member resells a brand's piece?

The piece keeps its link to your brand. Resale is usually where that association is lost; here the second owner remains visible to you.

Is a brand's data shared with other brands?

No. Your catalogue, orders and performance are yours. Nothing identifying is shown to another partner and nothing is sold to anyone.

Can a brand leave?

At any time, and your catalogue is removed with you. There is no notice period and no exit fee.
